Specialsport.dk is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and young people with special needs and disabilities to participate actively in club life.
We are physically present in special schools to build relationships with teachers, educators, students and parents. We organize sports days where children are introduced to different sports opportunities and sports internships where children get out into the clubs and try different activities. We help clubs get started setting up specialized teams by providing training for coaches and volunteers to help them teach.

When you have a disability, it can be hard to imagine how it’s possible to participate.
You need a special framework to succeed and that’s hard to ask for.

FAMILY SUPPORT
It can be really hard to make ends meet
There are many factors that make it harder to become a part of the community.
There are often practical issues and concerns that need to be addressed, but finances, time and transportation can also be challenging.
We help with all the hard stuff so that children who often have no friends outside of school have access to a local community in their free time.
TEAM SUPPORT
Many associations really WANT it, but also find it difficult.
As a coach or club, you volunteer to make a difference for others.
However, many clubs give up before they get started because they are worried about failing.
Specialsport.dk helps all the way. From board clearance, coaching courses, starter packs, guest training and connecting volunteer team supporters.
